1st July 2015 - Atos recognized as finalist for 2015 Microsoft Partner of the Year awards
Atos is pleased to announce it has been named a finalist in the 2015 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,300 entrants from 108 different countries worldwide. Atos was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in the Public Sector: CityNext category.
Niels De Schutter Global Head of Public & Health Solutions from Atos said, “We are delighted that our Epidemics and Outbreak Management solution has been named as a Finalist in the Public Sector: CityNext category. Based on the tried and tested Microsoft xRM platform, the Epidemic & Outbreak Management solution enables organizations to track and trace reported incidents of a disease and effectively predict the potential spread of the disease according to a variety of variables; providing real-time reports to key stakeholders. In an era when citizens travel between cities in hours, it’s more important than ever that we use technology to address the threats posed by communicable diseases – from measles to SARS. This award reflects the hard work and effort from the team to deliver solutions which enable healthier cities and a better quality of life for citizens.”
The Microsoft CityNext Partner of the Year Award recognises Partners who can showcase how their solutions built on, or with Microsoft technology, can address the most pressing challenges for cities and help them do “more with less”. A new era of cloud services, mobile devices, social media and big data creates breakthrough opportunities to help cities to address their big challenges and spur economic growth. Fully harnessing the possibilities of the new era requires not just innovation for innovation’s sake, but innovation that truly enables people – city leaders, city employees, businesses and citizens – to shape the future of their city.
“This year’s award winners are among the most innovative and valuable our partner ecosystem has to offer. Therefore, it came as no surprise that Atos was named among that group as this year’s finalist of the 2015 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. “We applaud Atos on this achievement and for the outstanding value it continues to provide for our mutual customers.”
